Evoking the sights and sounds of an era now long gone, Plane Heritage offers you the chance to turn back time and enjoy the ultimate 1930's experience. Flying in a vintage open cockpit bi-plane is a unique experience, and one that we want you to remember for a very long time. At Plane Heritage we are committed to making sure you get the most out of your experience, from the moment you receive your voucher, to the idyllic setting of Goodwood Aerodrome from where your adventure will begin. Once you are airborne, one of our highly experienced pilots will show you what flying should be like. Feel the wind though your hair and hear it whistle through the bracing wires as you fly over the stunning South Downs, Arundel Castle and South Coast resorts. Your experience begins at the world famous Goodwood Aerodrome, the perfect departure point for your flight. On arrival you will be greeted by a member of the Plane Heritage team and shown to the aircraft where you will receive you pre flight safety brief and be issued with your flying jacket, helmet and goggles for that perfect 'biggles' look! Once you have been safely strapped in, the aircraft will be started by hand swinging the propeller and after a short taxi to the runway you will quickly be airborne and cruising over the West Sussex countryside and coastline. Watch as sights such as the Goodwood Estate, Arundel Castle and the stunning South Downs float by. During the flight, your pilot will provide you with full information on your current location whilst pointing out the local landmarks. They will also give you a full demonstration how how the Tiger Moth works and allow you to take the controls. Once back on the ground, you will have time to take photos of you with the aircraft.
